cpu: r7 1700x

mbo: crosshair vi hero

gpu: zotac gtx 1070 ti mini

cpu cooler: cryorig h7

ram: g.skill ripjavs 3200mhz

case: corsair 100r windowed

hdd: 1tb wd blue

psu: corsair vengeance 550w

I would add a 250/500gb ssd and if you're only gaming you could save a bit on on the cpu, go Ryzen 5. Ryzen 7 isn't much of an improvement over 5 unless you're into heavy video editing etc.

I will add ssd later and i already bought r7 i got it and mbo for really good price. ty

If just for gaming I would have gone i5 8400 or 8600k. What resolution and Hz is your monitor?

1080p? If yes then the Intel route would have been better. If 1440p then probably wont make much difference.

Ok i already have ryzen i got it and mbo for cheap 😀

I would say the same. And if you insist to get a high end CPU, I would vote for i7-8700K. It is a better value than 1700X right now, especially that 40$ difference would not only provide slightly better or comparable performance for less cores, but would rather also provide you a much superior single threaded performance. This facilitates a better overall experience IMO.

Since you already have the CPU & MoBo for a good price, then I guess you're good to go.
