[SOLVED] High end PC performing below expectations?

As u can see my pc performance is bad with good components... Whats wrong?

Yes, I have enabled "high performance" in windows and control panel.

Yes, my monitor is plugged in GPU.

Yes, I have installed latest drivers.

What do you mean with those 114% 89% and 78%? And theres nothing wich is using cpu...

CPU - 89.3% Excellent
GPU - 114% Outstanding
RAM - 78.4% Very good

And userbenchmark seems to think there is some stuff running in the background.

Disregarding what userbenchmark says....are you getting acceptable performance with the system?

Those are the individual scores.
Your graphics card scores 114% of the zero point, etc.

If you haven't overclocked anything, then you will compare poorly.
Verify that your RAM is running in dual channel mode. Verify that XMP is enabled in the BIOS.
Your SSD is a poor performing unit, so that is no surprise.

Better to test with something like Unigine Superposition or 3D Mark to accurately see how both the RTX 2080 and 8700K are working together. I have the same setup in an 8700K and MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio though you could really do with an NVMe M.2 drive...

Look at the page you shared. There are background (or foreground) applications using 11% of your CPU. That may be why your score is so low. If you need additional assistance figuring out what this is, send us a screen shot of task manager, processes tab, sort highest CPU usage on the top.

Here is mine with near the same setup though I am overclocked to 4.9GHz on my 8700K so I think you are there or there abouts...and with a bit of tuning you should get there..

Thing is that I dont know anything about overclocking... Can you link me video or something how to overclock my i-7 8700k coffee lake motherboard rog strix z390-h gaming?

Can you link me that page where i can test/download my pc? Then tell me how many points or fps YOU got from that test and then i do test and tell my results.

As to overclocking there are some very good guides on this based on your motherboard on you tube and on forums for the ASUS boards...take it nice and easy and make sure you have good cooling but 4.8GHz should be easy with just a simple change to 48 on the multiplier but spend some time researching first:

I would not use any of those types of APPs...Just go to 'task manager' and then 'startup' and disable any non essential programmes from starting up.

Yes that is the benchmark scores for my PC and the specs are on the right and in my signature below..as to fans they should automatically ramp up as the performance/heat increases. I have my fans setup to be in quiet mode but they automatically ramp up when needed. You should be able to set that up via ASUS's software or through the BIOS.

Hi no I have not overclocked the GPU but the MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio runs very fast out of the box and automatically boosts to just over 1900Mhz and when overclocked stabilises at around 2065 so I just leave it at stock...

Also keep in mind vcore or voltage for the CPU, you ultimatly want to run the CPU at max clocks but with the lowest vcore...that takes some time to learn but try not to go over 1.35v and a hard limit is 1.4v but I woulkd not let it get there...the more vcore the hotter the CPU gets!

I have mine on a offset/adaptive vcore at max 1.278v at 4.9GHz but you really need to understand your motherboard first!! I really would take time and learn as mush as you can first...take your time and slow steps...

Make sure once you have overclocked to say 4.7GHz all core you run a Prime95 version 26.6 blend test and at the same time monitor temps with RealTemp or Coretemp...If temps go above 90 degrees then the cooler is just not going to help and you will need something better. I use an AIO to cool mine and thus I have low temps.

Ok so if cpu hits 90 degrees then thats bad and when im done with overclocking im going to run Prime95 (version 26.6) and download coretemp to see my temperature? Am I right?

Version 26.6 doesnt work for me?
