Sure, I understand what you were saying and the links did help clarify your
reasoning. I just thought it comical (albiet ironic at first) that you
could hate the ZZ top music in HS2 and like BK2K enough to go way overboard
on it. But hey, we like what we like and we all have our own opinions..
(even if yours are wrong). 🙂 kidding of course.

I agree with that- they do seem to play quite a bit differently.

I tend to think the opposite- I feel like Getaway (and all WPC 1991-ish on
up games) is a more "solid" tough machine, and the earlier System 11 stuff
is more "klunky" and less durable. Just the way it comes across to me-
maybe from all the years of working on both types- dunno... interesting
perception though.

Well it's probably the same reason a lot of people buy a new car off the
dealer's showroom floor rather than one (or more) used cars. A lot of the
people that have come in our shop to buy new pins (and not interested in
looking at *anything* used) often say they just want something brand new
that hasn't been used or operated or worked on by someone else or that's
been in a bar or bowling alley- basically they want to be the "one owner".

I have yet in my life to buy a brand new car from a dealership but some day
wouldn't mind just *one*- would have to be a good one- special edition
Mustang or a Cobra or a Corvette or something- dunno. But that would
probably be it. My wife's grandfather just bought his first brand new car
from a dealer- a 4-door Buick- one that he'd always wanted- he said he
figured he'd better do it while he was still alive and had the chance!

Some interesting psychology- or maybe just plain old preference/opinion- but
interesting.

Yep, correct. It drops you into Secret Mania. Here's a tip; drink a gut
full of alchohol and start Secret Mania. That light sequence is a
killer. Takes about 10 seconds before I feel like emptying the contents
of my stomach...weird eh?

To each his own; I think DW actually does a more than halfway decent
job of approximating the old analog synth sound.

I own a HS2, and I have no problem saying the music in BK2K is better.
Now will I ever own a BK2K, of course not. Unlike some people here I
don't need to own every game RazerX does. :)

Same with Creature, and Dr. Who. Pathetic attempts to recreate the
original. I think the best sounding game you have is TTT.

I agree the Dwho pin has fantastic sounds, a 10 in my book. Funnily
enough I was looking at the pinball reviews site and one of the dudes
gives it a 4 but then gives wwater a 10...and I just got done telling a
friend "Yeah the same people who hate the sound on Dr. Who love
Whitewater's sound." He had told me he couldn't wait for our one game
of Wwater to end because the sound is so offensive.
