High/Ultra flawless graphics with this GPU?

I've been looking into things a lot more and I've found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125363

Do you think that would be able to get me flawless, ultra graphics for games such as Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2? If not, would it get at least flawless high graphics?

If not, what do you suggest? My budget is $200-$250ish. I don't mind going a little over that if necessary.

That it performs better and is a bettery buy, it is. I personally would go for the 560 Ti since I'm and nvidia fan and some other reasons (like SLI which you dont need to worry about).
So then it's up to you if you wanna buy the better performing card for a $10 difference or go with the lesser one which fits right into your budget. My advice is go for the 7850. Good Luck

Someone else told me on a smaller forum that I would need two of those two play ultra literally flawlessly like I want.

Thanks for the input carlosb. Can anyone else verify him?

Diablo 3 I would have to say sure, it would be no problem.

With Guild Wars 2 on the other hand, we don't really know on how high the graphics will go, and what settings we can enable with the game. Guild Wars 2 could "potentially" have a higher demand on the vid card, similar to Rift, if it is graphically intense.

It will be unknown though, unless you know someone beta testing the game and knows more into it. I predict it should still be fine.

What kind of CPU are you using? Also, what is the res of your monitor(s)? Do you like to run EVERYTHING on maximum? Such as AA, SSAA (if applicable), DoF, HBAO, etc?

Last question, are those the only 2 games you're making this around?

Unless you want to play at like 100 fps or more (not sure why people want to do that) or if you have a bigger resolution than 1920x1080, then yes you probably would need two of them. I have one and I play Battlefield 3 on Ultra with MSAA off. Diablo 3 is WAY less demanding than BF3. Alternatively if you're not sure you could go with the radeon 7850 which is faster, has more VRAM, runs cooler and is sure to run Diablo 3 on the most maximum settings there can be.

@ilysaml - I'm not quite sure of the difference between the 4 digit numbers and 3 digit numbers. I know they're different systems, but is there a big difference?

@Warsaw - I did play the beta and they were more intense than any other MMO I've ever played (not 100% sure if it's quite up to par with TERA though). My CPU is an AMD Phenom II X4 945 3 GHz. My monitor is 1650x1050. And not sure what those acronyms mean, but I just want to run these games on maximum. And finally, yes, I just plan on playing Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3. Possibly some Starcraft 2 every once in a while, but if I can run GW2 flawlessly, SC2 should be the same.

@carlosb - I want it to run flawless. I don't need 100 fps, no, because that's way over flawless..that's just insane.

The 560 Ti will suffice maximum settings at that resolution. However, your CPU might get a little hot but you should not need to worry about that 😉

Did you lag in GW2 beta Phomatic? If so, what card do you have? I have pretty much the same cpu (x4 940) on my other computer (currently using until my new one is built in the next few days =P). Our CPU's currently atm lack potential with SC2 and some CPU intense games (very, very few).

I think most MMO's might run slower overall with AMD vs. Intel processors., believe more-so due to the numbers of everything on screen. We know it's true with SC2, and I can say for almost certain it was with Rift, and I believe WoW it is true.

Now again, the more the bottleneck is on the card than the more likely it will not matter which CPU you have.

After saying that I think it will go one of two ways with GW2.

1. It will be decent graphics throughout the game, stepped up comparing to other MMO's. Being made for all platforms, ala Blizzard, then you should be fine. Might have choke points if lots of people, but would be more due to CPU than anything.

2. The graphics will stunning and fantastic looking (still unsure of the videos I've seen are the toned down graphics or the highest settings), and if this is the case could be very, very intense on CPU + GPU. Taking into account your resolution it shouldn't pose too much of a threat with your vid card choice, I'd probably stick with a 7850 like the others have suggested. AA though, depending on how high you take it could be really punishing on your system.

Now this was all theoretical, so I don't know which way it would go, but if the graphics are indeed good you might be in for some scaling down of something (maybe only AA to 2 or something simliar).

*Personally, I'm hoping that GW2 will blow the socks off my feet and amaze me in it's graphical glory for I so long for a good and fun MMO* <--- Though D3 is around the corner, *cheers*

Yea definitely, I have a radeon 5850 and I ran the diablo III beta perfectly well on max settings.
But listen to everyone else about buying a 78xx instead, definitely more worth it than a 560.

I'll go with the HD7850 -- even with the additional cost.

It's a bit more modern with potentially an advantage in OpenCL with the GCN arch. If something CUDA might look good to you in the future, it could easily go the other way.

But if cash is not really an issue, the 7850 is (for the time being) the sweet spot.

@Warsaw - Well I think I will go with the one you suggested, but I hope I don't mess up my PC. Do you think I would be able to notice if something was going wrong, such as overheating or pushing my PC too far?
