High wattage PSU supply problems?

Is there an issue with the availability of high wattage PSUs, (1200w and above)?

Every site I look on, almost all PSUs, especially EVGA units, are all on back order and have been for over a week. Newegg, eBay, Amazon, all backordered except for a few eBay retailers that have them at twice the list price.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on??

Hi - Most of these these are showing "in stock" some are out when you get to the site, I didn't
list em if they were in stock but priced much higher than the others.
