Hey guys What do you think would be a better choice have a look at these 3 cards. I want to play watch dogs on ultra .
R9 280..http://www.galaxy.com.pk/msi-R9-280X-3gb.html.Cost 42000

Gtx 770 4gb..http://www.czone.com.pk/graphic-cards-nvidia-geforce-gigabyte-gv-n770oc-4gd-geforce-gtx-770-4gb-256-bit-gddr5-windforce-3x-450w-video-card-pakistan-p.2421.aspx. Cost 46500

R9 290 from His .http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-802.shtml..Cost 45000

Which one of these would you prefer for cooling wise , quietness and performance wise and how is HIS brand for r9 290 , Does anybody have experienced with his iceq edition ?

For cooling and quietness, MSI is the best. Both MSI and GB are more or less the same performance wise. Don't get such a high end GPU from His, its not the best brand around, nowhere close.

I'd however like to ask what display do you have? For FHD or 2k, 3GB VRAM is enough, and R9 280X is at par with 770, if not better.

Most likely you won't be planning to get 4k monitor/ display anytime soon, so the 3GB R9 280X will be the best bang for the buck, both performance wise and money wise :)

I would be gaming at 1080p single monitor and I suppose his is award winning brand . Have you ever experienced with his before?

R9 290 and 280X would not show much difference as both will be 50+ FPS on Ultra on any give game on FHD. And how's HIS an award winning brand? Please elaborate. I've never had any experience with it before but I do know people have had performance issues with it so I won't recommend it.

I want to play watch dogs on ultra with textures ultra and other settings too .i was just wondering that these 3 are close in price range so why not get the high end one. :p

Its not the best brand for GPU OCing, its not that trusted for its cooling either, it has been several times reported that copper blocks for heatsink are not properly fitted. Synthetic tests don't really affect a user too much. Real life reviews do. If you wanna go with AMD, stick to Sapphire/ Asus/ GigaByte/ MSI/ XFX for best performance, cooling, reliability. They're reputable brands with excellent customer support.

The cooler itself will not get you more fps, though it would allow you to overclock higher and achieve better fps that way.

My msi cooler 7950 allows me to set core to 1100mhz and still have temps better than stock versions.

for the price of all those you listed, the r9-290 by far is the best choice and neither the 770/280x come close. though noise under load does not bother me much since i already have the volume up in games. you could always just underclock the card to get better temps and fan noise levels and still be well beyond the performance of the full tahiti/gk104 chips.

I'd certainly not recommend HIS over MSI here, as both cards are very comfortable on Ultra, and the more cooling headroom (of Tri X 280X) will give more OCing abilites, thus ensuring better performance once OCed, besides being cool too. It may just be a bad eg, but take it this way, I'd get a 40" Sony Bravia over 42" Sansui, no matter how good the Sansui is, no offense.
