Hey guys,
My 500GB Hitachi Hard Drive is roughly a month and a half old. Today, it started making clicking noises (the same clicking noises as in the click of death). However, the hard drive still works and there is no whirring/screeching noises coming from the drive.
The clicking noises also only occur every few minutes. They usually click 2-3 times. Should I be worried?
I've created an image of my computer and I'm going to back it up to an external hard drive. If the internal hard drive does die out on me, will my computer be able to recognize the external hard drive? (the internal hard drive will be dead, so there will be no drivers, I assume?)
Thanks!
Brian
