After upgrading our Toshiba Laptop OEM version of XP HOME
to XP PRO 2002, we keep getting THIS error box on the screen at
start-up:

http://www.angelfire.com/in4/infnet/hkdrv.jpg

This apparently IS some sort of driver for the
"Toshiba" CD-ROM drive...

We've tried NUMEROUS driver download websites and find NOTHING!

Can anyone assist in getting to us this driver or one equivalent?

Thanks!

Go to the Toshiba website at www.csd.toshiba.com and download and install
the Power Management options for your Satellite.

Tried your suggestion from the site:

http://tinyurl.com/956zu
(TOSHIBA PUBLIC DOWNLOADS SITE)

We downloaded under the "Power MGT UTILITY" and installed..

.....nothing changed...

What OTHER download on this site can we use then?

We figured it out...
It was the application file "CePMTab" IN the Toshiba Powerhe
Management Folder that was causing the problem...

We thus deleted it, and the error box is gone...

However, we still HAVE the folder and OTHER files in it..
ARE THEY NECESSARY?..

Thanks!

Toshiba Notebooks like to use the Toshiba Power Utilities in the Control
Panel to manage their settings. If the folder in question is a temp folder,
you don't need it, but if you use the Power Utilities, you need to download
and reinstall the Power Utility files for your model of Satellite from

It's NOT a Temp folder, but is in the Program Files inside the TOSHIBA
folder.
It appears that the Toshiba Power Management is just for the AC/DC
adjustments..
Q: Can we still safely DELETE the "Power Management" folder?

Done..

However, what is the "Toshiba Tbiosdrv Driver" for?..
