Home server question

Hello,

I plan on creating a home server on a spare PC, using Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise. I was planning on using my spare wireless USB stick to run it wirelessly for internet. However, I was wondering would this jack up my bandwidth and jack up my internet bill? I plan on using the server for a private gaming server which will allow some people to go to my domain which will be pointed to the server. But, I don't want to do this is it's going to jack things up since people will be visiting.

First thing: Check the Terms Of Service from your ISP. A large number of providers prohibit public facing servers on residential accounts (yes, they can tell). Some will allow servers if you upgrade to a commercial account ($$$$$).
