Basically I am having a loud screeching coil whine while playing valorant. Happens alot when I turn off vsync (I know vsync suppose to help this issue). Hitting 200+ fps make pc go brrrrt bzzzt lol. Same goes for csgo. Anymore suggestion on how to reduce this coil whine issue? I also want to know if it's really the gpu's coil whine or psu's.

Specs:

PROCESSOR: Ryzen 5 3600x
GPU: RX 580 4gb PowerColor
RAM; 16gb DDR4 3200mhz
MOBO: Asrock AB350 pro4
PSU: GIGABYTE P550B 550W

EDIT:
GPU utilization not hitting 100% but still gets irritating coil whine. Really worried if letting this go on will brick my pc.

Coil whine is not harmful, only a nuisance. High framerate is a typical trigger for it.
It can come from either gpu, motherboard, or psu. Take a paper towel tube and listen in to narrow it down.

As for fixes:
-the v-sync you turned off.
-replace hardware, if you figure out which part the sound is coming from. Expensive.
-certain kinds of super glue: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...asily-fix-coil-whine-coil-choke-noise.294015/

Psu is pretty far down this list: https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
Right there in D-Tier: Only for iGPU builds.
It's probably the culprit - even if it's not, I'm sure others, including myself, would recommend replacing that first.

Roll up a sheet of A4 paper, hold one end to your ear and then use the other end to probe for the source of the noise. IMHO, I'd ditch that PSU in your build. Speaking of which, how old is the PSU in your build?
about 6 months, never knew this psu was <Mod Edit> for a dedicated gpu. Will probably have to look for a new one.
