[SOLVED] Horrible FPS on Star Wars battlefront 2

Ever since I downloaded the game and tried playing it no matter what setting or what resolution I put it on the FPS will not get better it is horrible and I’m assuming it’s around like 19 FPS and the strangest thing is I have a pretty powerful pc so I should be able to run at least medium settings just fine? Here are my specs
GPU: RTX 2080 SUPER MSI

RAM 32 gigabyte 1599 MHz

and CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

motherboard B450 tomahawk Max

From where did you download the game?

Also, are any other games performing similarly?

No other games are performing like it is and I downloaded it from steam.

Seems like a possible DX12 issue. Changing to DX 11 helped some of these guys:

Thanks for your help but when I restarted the game it automatically switched back so yeah I guess that was the problem. if you don’t mind telling me why does that occur?

I just suspect that this older game is just more compatible with DX11.
