I'm having no luck finding what I'm looking for so I thought I'd ask here.

I'm looking to mount 2.5" SSDs in the inside drive racks but I'd really like the option of hotswap so I don't need to mess with cables if I need to switch drives.

Does anyone know of a tray that will fit into the internal 3.5" slot that will allow this ?

Thanks.

Keep in mind that I don't think windows can be installed to removable drives using the normal process...

Internal hotswap trays, you mean to fit in a 3.5" drive slot inside the case and not something that fits into a 5.25" bay like where a DVD drive would mount?

Which case do you have that will give you easy access to remove the internal drive?

Theres this which should work in many situations

An then theres these types which lead to the question of how are you going to get the drive out?

I have these in two Pc's but don't use the hotswap feature. They mount in a 5.25in bay in the front of yuor PC (if yours even has one these days. LoL )

If I had wanted an external hotswap bay I would have purchased one of the 101 readily available.

I was looking for something that can mount in the INTERNAL 3.5" drive slots so I could could route all the data and power cables to the rear of the slot and then if/when I needed to remove a drive I could simply pull the drive out and slot a new one in.

Basically a backplane that attaches to an existing drive rack.

Currently, all the data and power cables go to the back of the drive cage and the drives slot in the front.
So, if I need to replace a drive I have to pull both sides off the case (which is under a desk so not as easy as it sounds) so I can get the cables off the back and then pull the drive.

If the internal racks were hotswap I could just open one side of the case and pull a drive, nice and easy.
