How bad are "next-gen" consoles for PC gaming?

Technically, games are using upwards of 80 threads. So no.

Granted, only a handful do "meaningful" work, but that's more due to how Direct X/OpenGL works more then anything else.
 


See i disagree, i think it's not about technology but about content. If MS and Sony can hit home runs with Gears of War 4, Halo and whatever exclusive Sony has for PS4 that will bring in millions of people to consoles.

It's all about content, i play on PC 99% of the time, but beginning this Fall i will most likely stop because i am planning to play Forza 6 and Halo 5 and after that possible Gears of War 4 should it be out.

And Sony just dominated the whole platformer thing with Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank and such.
