How can i do Raid 1 HDD Recovery

Hello guys, I wanted to ask you about Raid 1 fail.
One of my Hard Disks failed, so I went to the store and got a new one, as I read before, the raid array will reconfigure and restore the data automatically, but when I connected them and set them in the BIOS settings it appears a message "Not enough available space to create a volume" which is not logical because my old HDD was 320GB and the new one is 500, can you please help me what can I do about this issue

Is this set though Intel RAID? have you gone into windows and used the IRST software to add the drive to the RAID 1?
