in my laptop a local disk(Q) is automatically generated on my harddisk....sometimes its automaticall invisiable....and then again comes..it has 0 bytes......and it doesn't show on disk management option...i won't able to remove this...pls help me how can i remove this partiton???????????? i m waiting the answer

My guess is that you don't want to remove that! I bet it's a portion of your hard disk that has been set aside by the manufacturer, so that you could restore the OS if needed. When you use your restore disk, it will access that portion of your hard disk and return your laptop to the original condition. If that is not important to you...then, get some partitioning software, and remove it. I use Acronis Disk Director. But, in order to have only one large partition, you'll end up having to start all over.... You will lose everything on your hd. So, make sure you have it all backed up.
