Question How can I improve my speaker setup with a PC monitor and PS5?

I’m looking for a better way to use a set of speakers or a soundbar for my pc monitor/ps5 setup. At the moment, I have the speakers 3.5mm plugged into the back of the monitor. The ps5 is hooked into hdmi and my pc is hooked into display port. I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely sure how the current setup even works. While it does work, it’s not without shortcomings. On the ps5, I have to turn the knob to almost off. Otherwise the sound is incredibly loud. It’s the opposite for the PC. I have to turn it all the way up and then adjust the audio on the pc more.
The monitor doesn’t have speakers built in either. Is there a better way I could configure this?

For the best results, you want to avoid an output from the PC with analog.
Use any external DAC available, even if it's as simple as a dongle with an integrated chip such as this.
