How can I know what USB keyboard works for my pc

I want to get a usb keyboard that has a trackpoint in it. But how do I know what keyboard will work on my computer? Are there specific usb keyboards for specific computers? Or am I supposed to get a usb keyboard that has the same dimensions as the keyboard that is currently on my computer?

No, a USB keyboard should work with any PC with a USB port. However .... getting one that comes with the trackpoint stick will severely limit your options
