How can i transfer files from a hard drive onto another with windows already installed on it?

I have already tried copying and pasting them but they kept disappearing once I booted from that drive. I also made sure to turn on visibility on hidden and system files but that didn't do anything. Any help is most welcome!

u can try to boot from this drive while the other drive is connected and drag the files u want.

Have you already tried what or.at2497 suggested to you ?

Also, have you considered to upload those files to a cloud ? That way they'll be accessible in both HDDs.
