How dare anyone give that kind of answer ?

A person says:
"Trying to understand Advanced settings"

and the answer is:
"There is nothing there worth tweaking to improve performance but you could change a setting to mess everything up, if you don't know what it does don't touch it!!"

What kind of answer is that ? The person asked about the settings in details, NOT what he shouldn´t do or shouldn´t touch !

Me concern ? I has the same problem with my hardware setup, so I needed a more detailed info about each setting and what is did do... in the end of the day then can I always reset everything and start over if the hardware stops working ! It isn´t Wargame or anything close to it... just some new hardware that need to communicate with the other "kids" in the garden !

Solution
You have already been told the issue. USB 2 technology is your limiting factor. The speed of USB 2 is 480Mbps
interesting, so on the web page: https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/USB-AC53-Nano/specifications/ it clearly reads;
ZcuGErb.png

So its using the usb2 format but can according to specs attain; "802.11 ac : downlink up to 867 Mbps, uplink up to 867 Mbps (20/40MHz)" therefore if usb is limited to 480mb/s how can they possibly boast such a speed ?
not being the devil's advocate but trying like the @OP why they would be allowed to make such statement which are lies?

I did look around for reviews and all mention top speed with nano @ 5g is close to 300-500mpb/s many mention lack of ability to be...

Private router. Nobody is using my WiFi for free. I do know how to secure it.

1. When you click on the icon for WiFi network in Windows then you get a list of people that is on the same band 2.4G or 5G.

2. No two router is the same. I have had a few (4 or 5 if I remember right). My router don´t have anything like that choice... This router talk in protocol terms: "ac, n/ac, a/n/ac"
And yes, I DO understand a lot... don´t take me for being new to technology as I have been around for some years.
My router is able to run 1300Mbps on the 5G, so I have a lot to take from in speed. (600Mbps on the 2.4G)

3. Thanks for the link, but it is my adapter that is the problem. I always check those pages first before I use forums like this one.

I did look around for reviews and all mention top speed with nano @ 5g is close to 300-500mpb/s many mention lack of ability to be impressive at 5G speeds, seems it is the downfall of the adaptor in reality vs boasted specs on the hardware. seems the only way to improve this is to change it, I understand this is not at this time a possibility but it is the honest truth.

And yes, I DO understand a lot... don´t take me for being new to technology
I assume nothing, I am sure like others your first language is not English and neither it is for me, I honestly am only here to help not make anyone feel bad about statement made while trying to help, I can understand how frustrating this is being for you, but taking all answers from helping hands as a personal affront or attack on your ability to understand or solve the issue is not helping you or anyone around the forum trying to help.

The problem seems to be truly the adaptor and nothing else. If you just purchased it, (depending on countries) can you bring it back in exchange for a better one ?

Solution

Just strange that so many companies sell those adapters. I will return on that subject in another tread. I guess.
Pt. I know it's possible to charge your mobile twice as fast if you have the right cable so why should not it be possible to get faster speeds on USB2.0?
Everything can be boosted, but not all manufacturers do it. There are a lot of options in the field of electronics, so I'm not convinced yet that it's not possible to get faster speeds out of USB2.0!
Your "knowledge" around this point is only a google search away. But have you physically tried to experiment with the USB2.0 speeds?

What did I say wrong ? Can´t I answer people who is entering the tread ?

As I said, never, ever, buy an NANO adapter. I have used wireless adapter for 5-6 years, every TP-Link 822n,722n, Nano and ebay 1$ crap. Every performed well with driver issues except nano and 1$ crap.
Buy an Alfa Wifi adapter, old school nr.1 , it wont fail you.

Also to tell you about charging phone twice.
Is it okay to charge phone twice if its always under use? No, it will overheat (Ive tried on my A5 2016, resulting back glass felling off).
It is under some circumstances, when you dont use it.

Try it , fiddle with settings, worst thing is that you cannot return to default, and you're gonna have to reinstall drivers again.

Everything is fine. Good advices.

But your sentence end with: "you understand that...?"
And I did try to give you a nice hint, please do not to use that part. According to google translate: "It sounds repressive."

English as a 1st language or not, do not change my reason for being here.

Moderators: "Please let people talk", some just warm up before they give away gold-information and others keep the gold for themselvs.

1. I have no problem charging my dual-speed mobile phone. None of my cell phones are ever dead on the fact that I did something about the mobile phone that is not approved by the manufacturers.

2. I have no problem charging my mobile phone with twice the speed. None of my mobile phones have ever died on that fact that I did something to it that was not verified by the manufactures.

No problem ! I know there is language issues. Even between USA and UK english.
You did give me something to continue on, thanks !

Why do you in the first place comment on my tread, if it don´t meet your standards ?

It appears your question has been answered. If it has not please clarify but if it has you can choose a best answer/solution. These questions are archived so choosing a solution will help the next person.

I will try to explain this in the simplest of ways. The wireless technology in your device has the capability of communicating at 867Mbps. This speed is then limited to 480Mbps when communicating with your laptop through USB2. The marketing is misleading but true. No USB 2 device will give you wireless speeds over 480Mbps, even if the wireless device is capable of more.

^ absolutely true , the spec says 'up to **** speeds' in which case they as a manufacturer are covered.

I have some 600mbs powerline homeplugs here Im using , the ports on them are only 10/100.

While they are sold & advertised as 'upto 600mbs' the simple fact is they cannot physically transmit data faster than 100mbs becuase of their own hardware limitation.

Your usb adapter is much the same.

I do know what you say, but I see it with different eyes. Let us use this example:

My internet provider delivers 20/2 Mbps to my phone jack. But now there is a conflict!
The modem can run at maximum 24/3.5 Mbps, so how can the modem via cable deliver 100 Mbps on my laptop?
Besides that, my router can deliver 1000 Mbps (1Gbps) on a cable, from a modem that can only deliver 100 Mbps.

So the lie is not yet proven. Otherwise, all routers and modem would be a big lie!
It is all about the programs and the electronic in the adapter, modem, router and PC that matters.

Once you have answered that, you also know why I'm not convinced.

I don´t know why you don´t understand what I write, but it do give me the idea that you don´t have the answer that I´m looking for.
