How do I clean my Logitec g700 laser mouse. I have only had it for a little over a year.

The problem is I use it on my bed. Even though I have a huge mouse pad, I seem to still be having issues with the sensors getting dirty. Just recently my mouse started becoming unresponsive and i would have to blow into the little hole to clear it and it would work.

I paid $100 for it and it was a replacement for a $50 mouse that basically died because of this very issue. I thought using a mousepad this time would prevent that.

Don't tell me not to use it on my bed. Just tell me how to clean it or what I can do so that i don't have to buy another mouse.

I thought about that.

Its also a plug-in mouse. So I can run it without batteries and I can plug it in to charge the batteries.

When it first happened the issue persisted even after I plugged it in and the problem got solved when I blew directly into the little hole.

Its only a matter of time before the lint or whatever builds up and shuts it down for good.

I figured a laser mouse would have better luck than my last optical mouse but I guess not.

I wish I was able to pull it apart and clean it. Those were the good old days.

Lint or fluff build-up shouldn't happen on an optical mouse since, unlike a plastic ball and roller-pins, there's nowhere for the fluff to accumulate. All very strange, we never had any posts in the past regarding that problem as far as I'm aware. You'd expect the forum to be littered with such posts if it was a frequent problem, but not so.

Something must be unique to your particular environment where the mouse is used, but I can't imagine what that is.

Haha. Good news man!

I just noticed a single hair stuck over the middle of the sensor. I removed it and hopefully this never happens and my expensive ass mouse will be ok

Thanks for the replies, Phillip !!
