[SOLVED] How do I cool my laptop that runs at 70-85 C?

Whenever I play a game like Siege, Witcher 3, Soul Caliber 6 etc., my temps suddenly spike up to 85 C and stay there until I stop playing them. Because of thermal throttling, my games perform poor, making it really uncomfortable to play them. (My laptop is ASUS ROG G771JW)

I've cleaned the fans, re- applied the thermal paste and tried underclocking the CPU as well but nothing works. Is there anything else I can do or should I go look for a new laptop?

Overall for cooling while gaming you would have to resort to a cooling pad or you could try lowering the settings for your games and see if that might improve it a bit and also if you are running on average of 70c that is normal when gaming the only thing that would be concerning if that was your idle temps.
Laptop = Thermal Throttling. You can't escape the heatsink size limitations. If you have the right kind of CPU ("H" suffix IIRC) , you could try undervolting with Intel XTU. Similar with the GPU. Save voltage, save watts, save heat.

Yes a cooling pad could help.
