Hopefully you know what I'm talking about... the screen that shows up if you have more than 1 OS installed after the BIOS screen. I had to put in an old mobo and the installation of XP I had BSOD'd before even entering XP so I installed another copy on another hard drive.

I formatted the other drive... how do I stop that non-existant OS from appearing as a choice?

Thanks

right click my computer, click properties, advanced tab, settings under startup and recovery, uncheck time to display list of operating systems.

alright thanks.

so is that completely taking away any "traces" of the other OS... or is that screen the only thing that really has to do with it?

I hope that doesn't sound like cold war paranoia :p

that menu is just a simple text file called boot.ini if the os that went bad was on another hard drive, all traces were wiped out when you formated the drive.
