How do i find the file nvlddmkm sy_

I want to try the fix for the nvlddmkm.sys crash problem. The problem lapstop will not load windows and cannot repair itself due to this problem. I can get to the command prompt but I do not have a folder named nvidia. How do I find the file nvlddmkm.sy_? I do not have this file on my one working computer.

The nvidia folder is in the program folders (both the regular and x86 folders if you have 64bit windows) but that file would be stored in system32/drivers folder and system32/driverstore

personally boot into safe mode and uninstall the video card and the Download and install the latest driver directly from the Nvidia website. Select the "Clean Install" option.
