Need much more details.

What was the last thing you did, before this happened?
What OS?
Full parts list?
I opened my laptop and I watched a couple YouTube videos and then I shut down the computer and the next day it was updating.

It is a Dell Latitude E5500 with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 and 2 gb of RAM. It also has the original 80Gb hard drive.
It is running Windows 10

Assuming you're using Windows 10 22H2, with only an 80GB drive you could be running dangerous low on space. This is worth a try,

If you can't boot into Windows PRE using this method you may need to use a Windows install media. One cause might be the lack of a recovery partition, which sometimes happens if/when you upgraded from Windows 7.
