If it is to be the OS drive, just delete all the partitions as you install the new OS
If it is a secondary drive, simply delete all the partitions after you have the system up and running on whatever other drive will be the OS drive.

The OS drive in a new system? Easy...that is done during the OS install.

Or, the commandline diskpart function and the clean command.
Once the system is all running from whatever drive is the new OS drive....then connect this one.I was going to use it as a secondary drive.
