How do I get an OS

ok so I just build a new computer and I need an OS. I can't get the disk version version because there is not one in my entire town. So my question is can I download windows 8.1 from a website and put it on a usb drive? If so how big must the drive be?

Yes it is possible. This is called creating a media and putting it into a bootable drive.

What you need is another PC which has the interface you want (e.g. 32bit or 64bit) and install it onto a USB.

You buy it from a reputable seller. Amazon, Newegg, Microsoft.

They will either send you a DVD, or provide a link to download it.

hmm, you can but you need to buy the product key. I currently don't know of any sellers that sell just the dedicated product key.

If you can't find anybody that does this then you can just buy windows 8.1 from newegg.com or amazon.com.

You can buy and download windows 8.1 from microsoft. Usb key needs to be atleast 4Gb.
