How do I insert a picture on a post?

I used to insert imgur pictures using the Insert Image link on a post. Now, when I do it, I get "Something went wrong. Please try againb or contact the administrator."

What could be the problem?

when that happens it has always been a temporary issue.
whether on IMGUR or Tom's i couldn't tell you.

i have just participated in a couple threads over the last hour or so where new images were just properly inserted though.

It works for me as well, are you putting the actual image link?

On imgur you can also just copy the "BB Code" link and paste it into your post instead of using our insert image button

Strange, I tried just pasting the imgur links on the post, without using the Insert Image link and it worked. Using the insert image link is still not working though.

its because the first image you see on imgur is a gallery, not an image
the image link offered is a Gallery
the direct link offered is the jpg.
forums treat them differently.

below is a gallery, you can copy/paste these into chat and the forums will put media tags around them but if you try to use the insert image box, you will get an error as its not a jpg

to use the image tags, I normally right click the gallery image in Imgur& load it to another tab, to get the actual JPG, or you can choose the direct link choice on Imgur
