So i keep looking around but I cannot seem to find a solution.

So this is the story.

I have a PC with a hdd in it that I have been using for over 2 years now. I want to put in an SSD with windows on it as my startup time is literally like 5-10 minutes. The HDD already has windows on it.

Basically I just want the PC to boot from the SSD and get rid of windows on the HDD but keep the rest of my data.
Is this possible?
I know I can move my data onto the SSD and then wipe the hdd but I want to keep the data on the HDD.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If its any help

Corsair 4x 8gb 3200mhz ram
RX 6600 xt
HDD 2tb WD
SSD 1TB kingstone M.2

If you're thinking you can put the SSD in and boot from its already installed OS, don't.

Given certain conditions, you can maybe clone from the HDD to the SSD.

1. How much space is consumed on the current C drive, the 2TB HDD?
2. Is there anything on the SSD you need to keep?

HDD is at about 1.4TB
SSD is currently empy

I want to keep everything on the HDD and just get rid of the windows on it. I know I can move things over that with this much data this will take hours

1.4TB empty space or 1.4TB consumed space?

If possible, please show us a screencap of the Disk Management window.

1. You can't get rid of "just Windows" on the HDD, and hope for some easy outcome.
2. You can't boot from the foreign OS on the SSD.
