I've built my gaming PC around a year or 2 ago and since then it has gotten slower and slower and slower till now sometimes clicking the start button makes it lag. Sometimes Ill be typing something into the start menu, nothing appearing, then 5 seconds later bang! and the letters are typed in without me touching the keyboard.
Part of this might be due to me not doing anything to clean my system because I don't know what I can do. On my old PC I would usually after a year or so wipe the computer and reinstall windows but that's such a hassle and to me it seems too extreme.
What can I do? I've heard of defragging, using ccleaner but nothing else.If I were to reinstall Windows, is there any software that could help me manage my folders, applications, etc. There is such a looooong list in the programs tab and I don't know what I need and don't need.
