Hello, i have ASUS B350 PLUS motherboard (runing with ryzen 5 1600), and Corsair Vegeance 2x8GB RAM 3000MHZ.

when i plugged them in first time, i went into bios settings to put them on 3000mhz but it didnt let me load windows.. i played with it few times till somehow it did let me be on 3000mhz. but for the next day when i turn on my computer it sent me to bios calling error..
so i saw a suggest about this saying i need to overclock my ram.. how do i do that? im not sure if overclock youtube video will be a good idea because im not really overclocking here, im just letting the ram run on it normal speed. im a newbie please help me :)

Thank a lot.

your processor supports up to 2667 speed memory.
3000mhz is possible if you got lucky in the silicone lottery. Most times not.
Try 2667mhz first.
From there you will need to adjust timings down. Try one step at a time.
16-16-16
15-16-16
15-15-16
15-15-15 or
16-15-15
keep track of your settings that are stable so that when it no longer boots you can revert back to last stable settings.

You can try using the XMP profile in Bios for automatic settings (if it is availbale). If not, you could also try installing the latest bios if you haven't yet. Sometimes they add memory support and you can then use the xmp profile. I have a MSI B450 board which started supporting the xmp profile of my memory with the latest bios.

If the XMP profile is not available, you could check you RAM factory timings from the spec sheet of the memory.

nice so it worked even with 15 15 15. but now i thought about updating bios due to a video i saw.. and it fixed it! i just puted " D.O.C.P Normal" with 3000mhz and it works.. but the timing are 17 17.. should i get it to 15?

You can manually enter the timings too (not using DOCP). Enter only the timings on the side of DIMMS. That should get you CL15.

But CL17 with correct DOCP setting is a good result. saves you having to tinker around manually.

You use a pretty old bios 0805 from 20-6-2017,there are later ones, the last one being Version 4023 from 4-9-2018. Update your bios to the last and see if compatibility for the ram has improved. Test docp again with this latest bios.
