I got my computer today and the store insisted they install the rig themselves otherwise i dont get any warranty.

I am pretty sure I bought a 2.4C but besides the empty box they gave me I have no other way of confirming it's bus speed. I tried and failed at removing the cpu fan to see what's under it. All I know is that i have a 2.4 from the bios and winXP.

Is there a program I could use to determine the version of my processor?

Or just go into the BIOS.

My system: Intel Pentium 4 3.0, 800FSB / TwinMOS 1Gb DDR400 / MSI *argh* / Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro / Antec True Power 550W / 2x Western Digital Raptor / Hercules G.T XP /
SamsungDVD / Lite-On CDRW

You could overclock in the bios, meaning that they could have put a 2ghz and overclocked and sold it as 2.4ghz. The WCUPID is probably the only way to check it.

Is WCPUID really more accurate?
