How do I upgrade my Acer Aspire Grapgics card?

Hello,
I got my Acer Aspire and I tried playing minecraft but it was very slow and choppy. When i went to my friends house he had a Dell XPS wich has the BEST video card and his minecraft was MUCH smoother. I looked into the video cards but i dont know where or how I can upgrade my current video card.

you cant- the aspire is a laptop. The graphics card is soldered to the motherboard. only way you could upgrade is if you bought a new laptop, or built a desktop

You could try to install Optifine it helps A LOT in FPS, but because minecraft just updated you will have to wait a day or 2 for the devs to update it.

I highly doubt that will help with a laptop that has inferior hardware

You would be suprised it helps the game a lot, on Intel HD 2000 graphics I went from 30fps to about 50 with optifine.

Can't, best option would be buying a desktop or a better laptop 😛

Try upgrading the ram to 2gb (Acer aspire one max RAM ) and change the hard drive to a sdd that should help a decent amount

For your laptop. as for now, just set your game at low settings, low resolution, so you could play a bit smoother.
forgot upgrading your laptop's gpu, coz I have also Acer Aspire. So I decided to build a desktop which I can choose what components I want for my build.

for minecraft you don't necessarily need good graphics card just a good cpu (minecraft is very cpu intensive) and the acer aspire one has a single core processor clock at 1.66 ghz (that is if you have the d255e or model) which is a very slow processor trust me i have the same laptop theirs not much you can do to help. i would recomend a new laptop the asus x401a is a budget laptop that plays minecraft very well
