Question How do I work a SimpleTech 320GB external Hard drive?

I have an old SimpleTech 320GB external hard drive that im trying to get access to. i plugged it in my pc and turned it on, the blue ring came on and the red power light went on as well but it wont show up on my PC, I checked my disk management and its not there. I'm pretty sure the last time it was used it was on a mac back in like 2014 (if that's important). Im not the most tech savvy and this drive belonged to my mom who passed away any help would be appreciated thank you.

If it’s formatted for Mac then it won’t appear on a Windows computer. Chances are it’s in HFS format. Check these articles:

Try a different power brick as it's often the first thing to go, and another USB cable. A HFS disk should at least pop up a notice that you need to format the drive before you can use it.
