How do yo change cd drive write speed in window 7

Hello,
I loaded Lightscribe yesterday and burned several CD's with data, Today my drive won't format or write. I get a warning that I'm using that my CD's are the wrong type or wrong speed. I unstalled lightscribe but still have the same problem.

the options for cd burning are in media player options.......in media player...of course

I honestly would recommend Imgburn to burn iso files and information to cd's and dvd's. For music I would recommend cdBurnerXP which works really good. These programs allow you to change much much more than what the built in windows cd burning tools do. And they are both free to download and use.
