[SOLVED] How do you convert a m.2 sata ssd b & m to a internal hard-drive?

I recently bought a "Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA M.2 (2280SS) Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD4" and it didn't work on my motherboard.

So I bought a different one that fit my mobo, and forgot to return this one.

I tried getting a converter linked below that didn't work either.

It should have worked in your motherboard slot -- 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support)
Your motherboard supports SATA M.2 devices.
It should ALSO work in the adapter listed.
You may have a bad SSD. Has it ever worked in a different computer ?

That is good to hear. I thought I was crazy. I tried it in my brother's pc. And it booted to the bios. Linked below is his mobo.


I have tired to use back when I built my pc but the b + M key didn't want to fit. So I bought and am using a Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Internal SSD, up to 2000MB/s - CT1000P1SSD8

I can try again I just didn't want to have to remove my CPU heatsink to get to it.
