Question How is the LG Monitor lottery In 2024?

What's going on with LG monitors lately? So long story short, I had to return two bad LG 34' 144Hz Nano IPS ultrawide 1440P gaming monitors due to issues i had with both. Apparently I'm far from the only one experiencing issues, seems like all of LG's high end monitors (Nano IPS) have lots of bad reviews either complaining about sub-par display quality or defects that turn up several months after purchase.
Is there something weird going on at LG? They are supposed to be one of the best monitor brands on the market, but seems like they get more one star customer reviews than MSI, Asus or Samsung or Gigabyte.

Again, it seems like all of LG's high end nano IPS monitors are affected, especially the 32' and ultrawide 1440P/4K panels.

I'm too scared to buy another LG, so I'm thinking about going for a Samsung G70B instead.

Well now this is interesting. So it seems that Samsung sold their LCD factory to TCL, so the only true Samsung displays are their QD-OLED and OLED panels.

Presumably then TCL is the one making the panel in that particular Samsung monitor, if not someone else. A non-zero chance it is LG...but TCL just took over, so all of Samsung's basic operational policies are likely still in place.

Not heard anything particularly bad about Nano-IPS, but then I haven't been paying much attention. Keeping an eye on OLED monitors myself.

I will recommend you buy a Samsung G70B. I never like LG monitors. If you need money then you can visit https://casinosanalyzer.ca/online-casinos/ontario here where you will find those sites through which you can make easy money. I am also using that website link to find online real money gaming sites because they only share genuine and trustworthy sites on their page and also I can easily get a lot of amazing welcome bonus offers and free spins on those sites.

Edit: I agreed with every single point Cellie said.

Does it count monitors presenting catastrophic defects right after warranty expires now in 2024? If yes, I've got a monitor here that wants to tell you a story, and that's that LG turned to shit.

To add insult to the injury they're doing the written word equivalent of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and disregarding local consumer laws, so I have no option but take them to the courts, so it's not only their products lasting precisely the warranty coverage, their consumer support is terrible too.

All my past LGs lasted a long time. The last one to fail was my first not-ctr monitor. One capacitor change and it kept going until the screen turned to vinegar decades later! It was a wonder of technology.

That's not of case current LG displays.

Yeah I think they got a bad batch of monitors or something. If you look on Amazon specifically, feels like half the reviews are all complaining about reliability issues.

So interestingly, I did get my dad a LG UltraGear. But its their much cheaper 1440P 32' gaming monitor. Funnily enough, his display has none of the issues my LG has had, and the grey uniformity is way better on his. I'll be curious to see if his dies in the next year or two.

Really though I think Cellie nailed it. When companies get too big, it seems like they just get more greedy, and quality assurance dies as a result.
