How long do you think the Ryzen 5 2600 will last me

I currently have a ryzen 5 2600 paired with 16 Gb of ddr4 3200mhz ram along with a RX 460 (going to upgrade to a 1080ti when RTX releases). How long do you think my ryzen will last in terms of gaming? I mostly wanna game at 1440p.

You will be good for quite a while with that CPU. The clock speed of the 2600 is almost identical to the i7-4770k which is still plenty for gaming 5 years after it was released, except with the 2600 you have +2 cores, +4 threads, and ~ +8% IPC over the 4770k.

Depending on what you want to do with it. It's pretty new so it will last 5 years easy with gaming and productivity, 10 years max if you want to use it as long as possible.

New technology comes out all the time. It's difficult to tell how long something will last. I'm sure you could continue playing games at 1440p for many years though.
