Thanks for that. I needed a laugh today. My 7700x is fast enough for me. I do wonder, if there is a GPU that is fast enough to make the 7700x the limit at 1440p.

I don't think that's very realistic.

And the number of intel owners who do disable the e cores must be very low. Extremly low.

Do e cores count as "real" cores? Maybe not. But they help, and they affect the performance of p cores so they cannot be ignored.

Well if you think that, not many people use their computers to just game, Rendering and editing a video will use the e-cores and it shows. I never understood why people disable cores, in my experience it rarely helps with anything, if it does its like 1 game or program that was optimised by someone inexperienced, You are better off using Process Lasso and just disabling the e-cores for that crappy written program, and allow your browser or other background stuff to use the e-cores and allow the p-cores to do its thing for things that need faster cores.

Disabling the e-cores, or the second ccd for that matter, allows a little more headroom to overclock the remaining cores, it is niche but if you need the last bit of clocks it does make a (tiny) difference.
Doesn't turn the cores into nonexistence though, doesn't make them be not real.
