Hello.
Im building a system with a Ryzen 9900X3D CPU and 5080 GPU.
I have an Asus Rog Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi board that i was planning to keep bue i do have another newer board, an Asus Rog X870E-E Gaming WiFi that is for another build but i could use it for this PC if it improves things in this regard.
Basically, how many NVMe SSD slots can I populate on these boards with this CPU before making the GPU drop down to PCIe x8 ? I do mind the performance loss.
As far as i can tell both boards have the same number of lanes? My math tells me its 2 nmves since its 24 lanes -16 for the gpu leaving 4 for each drive? Its it really just two? Both boards have so many slots it feels sad to have only 2 in use
Thanks!
