He's in Korea, he's on Fiber. Asia is well known for it's fast internet connections.

But with that speed and that system, you won't have any issues hosting 45+ people. It's killing the minimum requirements.

I'd maybe recommend adding a second network card and load balancing in case one card fails for whatever reason.

Not in Asia, it's Fiber. 100/100 is standard. Many people get over 100 Mbps.
The fact it says "you are faster than 55% of the people in your area" kinda shows the average performance is right at that speed.

My home speed on DOCSYS 3.0 cable is 45 down, but obviously my upload is limited by my ISP and not my hardware.+

That's what I mean. The line coming into the house may be 100/100 or 8 bazillion gigaahoopties. But if the internal equipment is only 802.11g, 54Mbps is all the PC will see.

If money isn't an issue, just go with this

Agreed, that's why I'd use 2 NICs.

My friends house internet speed is
up/down 500mbps.
his internet plan is gigabit, it cost $34

No wonder the koreans won the LOL World champ. They get blazing internet to practice on... hue

2 NICs or a 2 port NIC with failover configured, with a good 1000 Gbps switch and configure dedicated IP addresses and port forwarding rules.

For $34, he gets 1Gbps up/down
Good luck finding that in North America.

edit; You are also faster than 89% of the U.S. 😀

hmmm......And what are you supposed to be getting from the ISP?
