How many watts should my power supply be ?

So I built this computer a year ago probably just to play Dota 2 :

AMD A6-6400k 3.90 GHz
MSI A55m-E33
4 GB DDR3
1TB 7200RPM
and a cheap case with a 400w psu on it

but everything changed when the Steam Sale attacked. I bought so much games but my PC couldn't run them because I don't have a discrete video card. So I bought an R7 250 and slapped it on my system. But, out of curiosity I checked out Newegg Power Supply Calculator, put in my specs then I'm suprised that it said I NEED 678 W ! and I feel like my PC should perform better when I'm playing games but it I feel like its performing slow that I expect it to be.

So, my question is: Do I need to buy a 700w PSU for my system to run better ?
