it will make diff. depending on your System spec.

It will give you 15% fps difference in cpu limited titles.
If your gpu is weak, then your system would be gpu limited and cpu oc wouldn't give much of improvement.

if it is well cooled, many 6700Ks would hit 4.7-4.8 GHz....

If you have the hardware why not try it? How much performance gain you see will depend on many things. From an FPS increase anything from 0%-15% would be possible depending on how much your cpu currently limits performance.

If your MB supports overclocking, there is no reason you cannot crank up clock speeds 100 MHz at a time, and quickly extrapolate what gains would be made once you see the gains from 4.0 to 4.2, and to 4.4 GHz, etc...; most did at least as well as 7700K did, with average samples hitting 4.7 GHz with little effort.

I got gforce gtx 1080 and im asking because im getting new motherboard for a good price so im wondering if its worth to buy even its cheap because if it doesnt give much differences im not gonna waste time
