I currently own two 970 SC in sli and am interested in selling my two cards in wake of pascal (or if I can get a good deal, a 980 ti or Fury X)

My question is where and how much I should sell the two cards for. I'd prefer to sell the cards at the same time and be able to get a new card after the sale (I can currently put in around 50$ or so along with profit from the gpus toward a new gpu, and that's all I can put it for the next few months)

Any help I can get will be appreciated, thanks! (I'm in Texas if that makes a difference)

What have they sold for on ebay?
Not Buy It Now, not asking price, not bids..

Actually sold for.

Anywhere from 250$ to 400$ (The first page anyway) , according to the Show Sold Only on ebay

Then that is what they are 'worth'.

Thanks for the help, I'll probably try to sell them in the 280-300$ Range

Do you think anyone would bite for say 550$? I'm well aware I won't get my full investment back, but I do want enough to get atleast a fury x (currently 630$ at lowest)

Put it out there. See what happens.
It is only worth what someone else will pay for it.

Already, I'll see what happens. Although I do think I might be a bit unrealistic in getting 550, I'll never know unless I try.

I just sold my 970 FTWs a couple of weeks ago for $320 each with waterblocks, backplates and a custom bios already installed in the 2nd bios position. And they were killer cards, holding the top 2 x 970 slot in just about every benchmark imaginable. As a reference....

So would you recommend I try and sell them at the price you suggested? I didn't think the cards would lose worth that quickly in such a short time (although I suppose that's technology for you XD)

Thing is, with Pascal coming right around the corner, nobody is really looking to buy GPUs right now....gotta make it a good deal....

Just have to see what you can get out of them, and adjust the price accordingly if they aren't selling quickly enough for you. I wanted to move mine quickly, so I priced them aggressively to get them sold...then bought an 8GB 290X and waterblock to play with, while I wait for the new tech to release.

Already, then I'll price them at 275$ each and hope they sell. If that doesn't work I'll lower the price and scrounge up some more money for a new card.

One last question, (Sorry, I'm a bit new to selling computer components) where would you recommend I sell the cards?

You can try Craigslist, that way you don't have to mess with shipping them anywhere.

But, everything I've sold in the last year or so has been in facebook groups. My Extreme PC, High Performance PC Gaming, CEMR, etc.

Awesome, I will definitely try craigslist first. Thanks for all of the help!
