I am trying to clone my hard drive which has only 256gb on it with Macrium Reflect but it keeps telling me there is not enough space!! The Source drive is a 512gb ssd with only 256gb used, the target is a 465gb external HDD. Whats the deal? I assume a clone is a bit bigger than whats just on my hard drive but isn't windows only like 10gb or something?
It won't tell me how much more space I need either...
This is my first time cloning/using Macrium.

That is what I was reading. Not sure why it wouldnt clone, I cleared off a 2 tb hard drive and it cloned over. How do I open it on a fresh drive though? I only have one M.2 slot in my laptop, thats all for drives, and now I have everything cloned onto the external. Can I just put in the fresh drive and plug in the external and open the clone?

You generally make bootable media from within the WIndows application, create and store your clone somewhere, swap to the new drive, boot from the bootable media created earlier,, then restore from image, pointing the program to where the image is stored...

(Much easier than Clonezilla...and quite similar to Acronis True Image....)
