Yeah, 650w will be enough. This is a bit off topic but have you gotten the 970 yet? If not, you should consider an R9 390.

Hello. No I've not purchased the 970 yet. Looking at Amazon (India) I see a huge price difference http://www.amazon.in/MSI-R9-390-GAMING-8G/dp/B00ZGF0UAE?tag=googinhydr18418-21 and I am afraid I can't afford that much.

970 - https://www.amazon.in/Asus-STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5-Graphic-Card/dp/B00NFFAW50/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1453526326&sr=8-2&keywords=gtx+970

Oh you are in India. Yeah, the R9 390 is more expensive over there. THe R9 390 is around the same price as a GTX 970 here. But the 970 is still a really good card. I know your PSU is 650w, but what PSU is it?

We're getting off track here. The OP is asking for a power supply for a 970, not whether or not an R9-390 is better than a 970. A 970 is a fine card if that is what the OP wants. If you're looking for a power supply a 650W is more than enough for a single card. If you want to run a second card later on, you're probably looking at a 750W - 850W power supply.

If you don't want to add a second card this will be what you're looking at: https://www.theitdepot.com/details-Seasonic+620W+Power+Supply+(S12II-620)_C14P7878.html

If you want to add a second card you're looking at something like this: https://www.theitdepot.com/details-Seasonic+750W+Modular+Power+Supply+(SS-750KM+III)_C14P17189.html

Hello. I am not planning on buying a second card because my budget is limited so wanted to know if 650 watt is enough for 970. Thanks.
