I've accidentally deleted a lot of videos on a particular collection of mine :)

Luckily they were on a secondary drive where my windows 8.1 doesn't frequently use.
So I immediatly started recuva, made a surface scan and tried to recover everything back to another nearly empty usb drive.

Most of the things were in "excelent state" accordingly to recuva. But how excelent is excelent? Can I be sure that the excelent files are recovered exactly as they were previous to the deletion?

In my experience Recuva is very good.

If it has marked a file as "excellent" then you will almost certainly get it back. If recovery is successful then the file will be in the exact state as when you deleted it.

If it does have problems recovering a file, then it is almost certainly lost. If Recuva can't do it then neither will any other program. It may be able to recover part of some types of files, such as videos, depending on how they are encoded if part of them is lost.

I'm not scared of the files lost, my problem is the possibility of him to recover a "excellent" state file, and then the file fails. I honestly rechecked around 100GB of the excellent files he recovered via utorrent and they were 100% fine.

And also, some of the "poor" files he recovered were working perfectly as well, can I trust it? Or should I download everything back?
