How Should I Update My BIOS?

I have an ASRock AB350m-Pro4 motherboard and a Ryzen 2200g and my processor stutters a lot in program/games. After a bit of searching, I realized the only to fix my problem is to update my BIOS to a version later than 4.70 (on this page https://www.asrock.com/support/BIOSIG.asp?cat=BIOS8), but I'm kinda scared to go mess around in the BIOS and I have 2 ways to do it. One through Windows and one through Instant Flash. I don't know which I should do, but right now I'm leaning on the Windows way. However, in the Windows way it says I have to make sure I'm not overclocking anything, but I have XMP enabled for my RAM to run at it's advertised speed of 2800mhz. So I don't know of that will affect my BIOS update. Can someone tell me which way I should BIOS update and if there are any problems with having XMP enabled while updating the BIOS through windows?
Thanks.

You should almost always use the Instant Flash method. It's way safer than windows updating because if windows crashes during the BIOS update you'll probably end up with a dead motherboard. Finally you should proceed with the BIOS update since your system has issues that may get fixed by the newer BIOS version. Good luck.

EDIT: Also no the XMP doesn't affect the BIOS update unless of course it is causing this issue thus making your system unstable and in that case it's very dangerous to update the BIOS inside the Windows environment.
