How to access an efi system partition in windows 8.1

Hi guys, last night of its own accord my primary ssd (samsung 840evo 1tb) locked itself and became an efi system partition on its own somehow, there is a file on it I need to retrieve but I cannot open the drive in windows explorer, how do I access it? Thanks
