how to adjust bass boost for headphones ?

i recently started using some random panasonic headphones (small mobile phone ones) for PC and it has this built in bass boost which annoys me when playing games,specially some open world games with thunderstorms and such because my ears become all bass and not much else.
So is there a way that i can turn the bass down or something to lower the bass boost of my heapdhones so i can continue to use them

I would recommend getting an audio equalizer like PC Equalizer from SourceForge (it's free!) at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pc-equalizer/

I use an equalizer myself for my Bose speakers, as the high frequency response on all Bose products is too much for me.
