Well, I got my SSD today and installed it earlier, I then used AOMEI Backupper to clone everything on my HDD to my SSD, now, i don't know what to do, can someone help me out? I booted without hdd and only SSD and it says put a good boot device in so i'm stuck in a dilemma. All i can say is that the SSD is kingston, i'm running win 8.1 and the motherboard F11 thingy is MSI, can anyone help? Thanks.

Hello, i'm really confused, i'm not massively stupid but i need a step by step or video tutorial, I know how to get into the bios via DEL but when i get in it shows a boot device order at the top which are all CD/USB devices. Any help?
Thanks in advance

OK, so you're in the BIOS, and it shows no SSD or HDD to boot from?

Power down, disconnect ALL drives except for the SSD.
Boot and get into the BIOS.
What drives can you select from for the boot order?

Hello,

So, I go into the boot page and there are multiple things on the screen. There is
Full Screen Logo Display [Disabled]
Boot Mode Select [UEFI]

Then there is:

Fixed Boot Order Priorities, with options 1-6, for each option i can choose:

USB Key
CD/DVD
Hard Disk: Windows boot manager
USB Hard Disk
USB CD/DVD
Network
Disabled

Finally there is

UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities which i can go into

However, at the top of the screen on all pages there is

Boot Device Priority >> USB CD/DVD USB CD/DVD USB CD/DVD [+]
I can click and drag the USB things to put them in different orders.

Thanks in advance.

In this menu:

Change "Boot Mode Select" from "UEFI" to "UEFI + Legacy".

Next, in that same menu, Click on "Boot option one" and see if your SSD comes up in the resulting list. Click on the SSD in the list to move it to Option One.

Lastly, Click on "HDD BBS Priorities" and in the menu that pops up click on your SSD.
